PROCESSED PERSONAL DATA

United Church of God Europe (hereafter referred to as: ‘UCG Europe’) may process personal data about you in the following cases:

  • when you visit the UCG Europe website
  • when you provide this information to UCG Europe yourself by filling out a contact form on the website
  • when you request literature from UCG Europe by telephone, by e-mail and/or via the UCG Europe website, you request literature from UCG Europe
  • when you, as a member of the congregation or regular visitor to the services of UCG Europe, have indicated that you wish to be on the internal e-mail distribution list
  • when you, as a member of the congregation or regular visitor to the services of UCG Europe, have indicated that you wish to be on the internal address list
  • when you, as a member of the congregation or donor transfers money to UCG Europe

UCG Europe may process the following personal data:

  • Your first name and surname
  • Your address details
  • Your telephone number
  • Your e-mail address
  • Your IP address
  • Your bank account number (in the case of donations)

WHY UCG EUROPE NEEDS YOUR DATA

UCG Europe processes your personal data to be able to contact you by telephone if you request it, and/or to be able to contact you in writing (by e-mail and/or by post) if you cannot be reached by telephone.

In addition, UCG Europe may use your personal data in the context of carrying out your request to UCG Europe to receive UCG Europe literature.

UCG Europe may also use your personal data to make home visits at your request and provide pastoral care, and to share practical information and organizational matters with church members and regular service visitors.

HOW LONG UCG EUROPE STORES DATA

UCG Europe does not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. Your personal data will be deleted when your subscription, membership and/or regular service visit ends.

SHARING WITH OTHERS

UCG Europe will only provide your personal data to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of an agreement with you, or to comply with a legal obligation. Those who are on the internal e-mail distribution list and/or the internal address list undertake to treat the personal data on these lists confidentially. UCG Europe cannot be held liable in case of abuse. Members of UCG Europe who have access to the financial affairs of the denomination have a duty of confidentiality.

COOKIES, OR SIMILAR TECHNIQUES, THAT WE USE

UCG Europe only uses technical and functional cookies. In addition, UCG Europe uses analytical cookies that do not infringe on your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone the first time you visit this website. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and remember, for example, your preferred settings. They also enable us to optimize our website. You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser so that it does not store cookies anymore. You can also delete all information previously saved via your browser settings.

IDENTIFYING WEBSITE VISITS

General visitor data is tracked on the UCG Europe website, including the IP address of your computer, the time of retrieval and data that your browser sends. This data is used for analyses of visitor and click behavior on the website. UCG Europe uses this information to improve the functioning of the website. This data is anonymized as much as possible and is not provided to third parties.

VIEWING, MODIFYING OR DELETING DATA

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data.

In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by UCG Europe, and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data that we hold about you in a computer file to you or another organisation mentioned by you.

You can send a request for access, correction, deletion or transfer of your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data, to info@ucgeurope.org. To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your ID with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and citizen service number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks.

UCG Europe takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. The UCG Europe website uses a reliable SSL Certificate to ensure that your personal data does not fall into the wrong hands.
